Great Hidden Gem
After hearing all the talk about Zephyr hotel, had to give it a try. Let me say, NOT dissapointed at all. Perfect hotel for family getaways. Pricing is more than fair compared to others, but the deal sealer was the walking distance from Pier 39 and everything else. Great vibe all around the hotel, especially from all the staff. Smiles go a long way. Very pleased from check in to check out. Will definately be returning soon. It's like the saying, "Dont judge a book by its cover". You'll be surprized.

Pricey, small, ok location for wharf
If you are staying for tourist wharf area and have family of dogs then a decent spot. Rooms are small and pillows are needing to be replaced. Nice courtyard area for playing or hanging. But very limited amenities no food/bar etc. for the price there are better options. But if you are wanting the wharf and marina experience it has a good location. But expect 15-20 min taxi/Uber rides to main downtown.

Overall the hotel is looking a bit rundown from what it used to be. Specifically, the shower head in my room was rusting, the toilet seat had been chipped and rather than replace it it was simply painted over. The cover for the toilet bowl was not the correct shaped one and the inside of the bowl could be seen. One evening after a long day, my key would not open my door. I went to the desk and they made a new key. Went back up and still did not work. Had security go back up to verify and it did not work. Even the security person's key did not work. So . . . they tried to find a maintenance guy. Was told he was at lunch (8PM). Since he usually eats in his car they sent someone to get him. He was not there and they did not have a phone number for him. They only had one person that could look at my door lock. Not good is that one person is not available. it took over an hour to get the right person who could unlock the door. I have been staying at the Zephyr for man years and the quality has gone way down. I do not plan to return. Going to try the RIU which is across the street.
