Comfortable room- nice coffee machine with water etc left. Good sized bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast menu good choices. Only downside was some noise seemed to Travel between rooms. Would recommend and stay again if in area

A Gem of an Inn in Lovely Stockbridge

This was one of the best rooms we’ve stayed out in our 2.5 months in Europe & the UK. The attention to detail was great, the room was a good size as was the bathroom & there was plenty of storage space to unpack for a multi-day stay. It was beautifully decorated & well located at the end of the High Street in Stockbridge. The restaurant served very delicious food & the servers were great!

Comfortable stay

We were made very welcome on check in. Room was pleasant and clean enough but quite a bit of dust on the lamp cord. Nice selection of teas, coffee, water and snacks in room. We stayed on a very cold night and we were warm enough. Meals taken at the hotel were good.

Not our first stay or last.travelled from France and stayed overnight. Staff could not do enough for very tired travellers. Would recommend to anyone for a short or longer stay with or without dogs. Look forward to calling again.

Ok service and breakfast was of good quality, However, the evening meal was decidedly poor. Hard, very few slices of avocado, cold toast and tomato with no hint of chilli in the dressing made for a tasteless starter. Main course (courgette and crab linguine) lacked both crab and courgette. I detected one thin shaving of courgette and if there was any crab it was invisible and tasteless. The cost of the ingredients could not have totalled more than a few pounds and cost £30 so terrible value . The room fronted the bins and was smelly and noisy = v little sleep. The TV didn’t work as the connections were faulty and possibly dangerous. The whole place needs an overhaul from top to bottom. I feel sorry for the front of housecstaff as they were all friendly and polite,

Return customers- good location to visit family and dog friendly so perfect. Lovely breakfast. Evening meals good pub food we would say- overpriced and no steak available two evenings in a row .. down to supplier we understand.. which seems strange .. when butcher just down the road .. Would return though

On the whole the property was functionally good. However the room whilst not dirty, had cobwebs and could have done with a dusting. We had a family gathering one evening the food was really average. The price of the drinks was in my opinion too high, £20 for two glasses of wine was in my view a little steep. Overall whilst I obtained what I thought was a good rate via Expedia, the two nights stay did not warrant the cost. I would search wider for value for money before choosing to stay there again.

Very enjoyable last minute stay

We really enjoyed our overnight stay here. We had a lovely friendly greeting on arrival, our room was full of character with an extremely comfy bed and the food was delicious for dinner and breakfast. It was also extremely reasonably priced which is always an added bonus!

Good for one night

Quiet location even though it's just off the main road. Check in was fine until the receptionist said we were in the new block, which was out of the door and turn left. No signage showing where the room was. Receptionist should have accompanied us. Room and bathroom we're both nice and clean. Only comment we didn't like the pillows. Food in the restaurant was nice but not value for money. Service in the restaurant was very good. Stockbridge stop over for us whilst heading to Southampton.

Nice hotel. Shame about the fridge noise.

Nice room. Good condition. Spacious. Big problem: the fridge was too loud. Couldn't sleep well. 7:30 start for breakfast is too late. 6:30 start fits my work demand. If that's too early, then offer a rate without breakfast.
