This is as the best we found when we walked the Riverside Hotels. It was so friendly and bedroom was sooo comfortable. We were welcomed early and nothing was too much trouble. However you pay for what you get and it’s worth it! Highly recommended

Great location
The location is ideal for exploring the Riverwalk and downtown. The hotel is lovely, rooms comfortable and food and service were both great. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the bar closes very early, without warning or set times and even to hotel guests. It closed between 9-10pm each night. We were staying for New Year’s Eve and were told the bar would stay open until 1am for the occasion but when we returned to the hotel to get a drink to toast the new year the bar had already closed.

Just an okay getaway
The cleanliness was lacking. The bathroom mirror had toothpaste splatter all over it that I cleaned off. The shower was broken and didn’t drain well. Continually had to ask for more towels because the housekeepers would only leave two for two people. We were not made aware of the amenities such as room service until I called to ask if there was room service available. The hostess at the restaurant was so confused as far as where to seat people (restaurant or bar) and what type of service was available at each spot and then say us in the restaurant and came back in and said we couldn’t order from the happy hour menu because that was only available at the bar. But we couldn’t sit in the bar area because there weren’t any servers for the bar. Seemed extremely unorganized.

A Riverwalk dream hotel
A Riverwalk must!!! If you want to make the most of San Antonio's famous Riverwalk and like staying in the heart of your destination then this is the hotel for you. With an entrance on the road for valet parking or just dropping off/arrival, the attendants are the most friendly I have encountered, from curbside to your room. Check in is a breeze and to my surprise we received a bottle of champagne (as returning guests). Our room is like a suite (Riverwalk view room) with a seating area and tv, followed by a walkway to the bedroom and in this walkway is a double door to the huge bathroom on the left and an area for coffee to the right with a fridge. I'm not saying enough, I promise. The room and space is marvellous, along with the view, the large very comfortable bed, the cleanliness, and the amenities. Downstairs has a lovely long bar with friendly staff and, although I did not personally take advantage of the hotel restaurant, it did look divine. I said the hotel has a curbside entrance, but it also has an entrance and exit directly on the Riverwalk. What a great aspect and easy access to this wonderful, iconic area.

Great room, subpar shower
Our room was amazing but the shower was not so much. We were supposed to get a room with a glass walk in shower. Instead, we got an out dated tub/shower combo. The water never got hotter than luke warm, even with hot turned all the way on. Other than that, the room & hotel were great.

Disappointed stay
Called front desk after check-in to request a bath robe. Said it was on it's way and never arrived. Live music playing in the bar area went way too late. Tried calling valet to retrieve car and was busy after multiple attempts and had to wait at drive. Never saw a hotel attendant in the pool area where "many" used towels were on lounges. Given the price of rooms, meals, drinks, and parking this stay did not meet expectations.
