Extremely disappointed.
Before booking this hotel, I was reassured by hotels.com that there was 24 hour shuttle service. I reached out to them three times and all three times, because my flight was not due to land at MIA until almost 1. All three times I was told there was 24 hour shuttle service. Once we picked up our luggage at baggage claim I called the hotel and was told that the shuttle service and the at 1 AM. This meant that my family was now stranded. In order to get to the shuttle, I had to acquire the services of a taxi having to pay $25 for a six minute ride. Upon entering the lobby of the hotel, you can see that it was very dated, and it had a bad smell like an old damp musty smell, which carried out throughout the entire hotel. While I was checking in, my wife, went to the counter to book the shuttle for the next day to go on our cruise. Upon my wife getting to the counter. The lady booking the shuttle was sound asleep to the point where my wife had to physically shake her shoulders to wake her up. I proceeded to the counter with my wife was and to my surprise the lady that was sound asleep is also the hotel security guard. At least the room was clean although dated and smelly. The air conditioner was so cold and the controls in the room do not control it. I guess they do that to cover up the damp musty smell. We only stayed here for a few hours, but I will not be coming back to this hotel again. I may not be using hotels.com again either for deceiving me regarding the airport shuttle.
