This B & B is a bit of a gem with caring owners and a flair for detail. The breakfast is especially great, everything high quality and served outside in a pretty garden. The two guest rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. If you are looking for the unusual, and you don't favor convenience it might be perfect. However, it is not a hotel, as I was told by the owner, therefore you may miss the following: air conditioning, daily housekeeping, a central location, shops. restaurants/bars nearby. The walk to the nearest tram is 10 minutes according to Google, not 6 as the site states and it's a dreary walk. Nothing to see.
I also had an issue with the towels, as the owner is concerned about energy use and line dries them after machine washing so they are like sandpaper on your skin. However, if none of this matters to you, you'll probably love it. This place is not a brand, like so many chains out there. Therefore you can see that everything has been hand selected by an owner with exceptional French taste. I chose to stay here because of the great reviews. But nobody mentioned some of the things as I am and I wish they had. Obviously the previous guests liked the unusual ambience of the place, and why not? In a cookie cutter world little spots like this are a rare find. Especially if you can live without daily conveniences.
