Do not book this hotel
Beware before booking. This was not what we expected for over $200 and we would not recommend to other travelers. There is no bolt on the room door, which made us feel unsafe, especially considering that anyone can walk until the building during the day and there is no doorman at night. The room also locks by code rather than a key, which felt less safe (we have no way of knowing the code is properly changed). The amenities are average at best, and certainly not up to standard of a 4-star hotel. Our window view led to a wall about 1 foot away, so we had no natural light. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly. On the way out on the last day we saw a dead roach in the lobby. Not sure how this place has such a high rating on this website—the only explanation is that it was inflated. Hotel staff were nice.

A quaint boutique style hotel with cozy suite apartments at a reasonable daily rate. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is very convenient to walk to all the nice areas in Chiado, yet the property is on a quiet street with low traffic.

We had a late arrival and did not see in the fine print in the booking confirmation email that we had to contact the hotel ahead of time to coordinate the late arrival. The hotel did not contact us prior to our stay AT ALL and claimed that Hotels.com did not share our information with them, so they were unable to contact us. When we arrived, we called the contact number of the hotel 6 times and no one answered. We ended up having to book another hotel for the night and wasted a lot of money doing so. This is no way to run a hotel. If you don't have 24/7 reception, you need to actively reach out to your guests ahead of time or provide an emergency phone number where guests can reach a human being that can provide them with support. For this reason, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s super conveniently located in the old town, Lisbon shopping and dining district. Even though it’s close to the hustle and bustle of the city, it’s on a quiet alley making for a very peaceful stay. Rooms are very small though, and I would only recommend those traveling on a budget, and wanting to be near all the action

Location is perfect as are the rooms. A 2 minute walk from the metro stop which is a very cheap, quick and easy method to get to the property. The property has this part of the city on your doorstep, with cheap public transportation available everywhere you look. We used the trams for longer journeys only, we also used the main train station “Rossio” to get to Sintra. The room itself was fantastic, a comfortable bed which is a priority, with a digital TV. The room was cleaned and serviced everyday, with a bottle of water, Nexpresso pods and tea replenished every day too. Although the site is not manned 24/7, the staff were more than helpful to assist with whatever question or query we had. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone and would certainly stay there again should we ever visit this fabulous city again.
