The interior design of the hotel and the room were gorgeous, truly a 5* experience. The pool was large and the sun loungers at the beach sufficient, the restaurants around the hotel (Goldfish, MORE Beach, The Bay) served quality food at reasonable prices. But that’s where the 5* rating for the hotel ends! The service and most of the personnel were disappointing and do not in any way meet 5* expectations! Rude restaurant staff where even when spoken in Bulgarian they do not acknowledge you at all; the breakfast was the same every day of the week apart from fried mushrooms alternated with cauliflower! Despite it being from 7:30 - 10:30, if you went at 10 you wouldn’t find much (I heard many complaints about no bread left, or the pancake machine being switched off early). Most of the staff at reception were just as equally unhelpful and rude - we had arrived early due to the time of our flight and were welcomed by “Yeah, you are quite early” by one of the females at reception. Instead, you should say to your guests “That’s not a problem, you may still use our pool and beach facilities”. On top of that, we didn’t check in until around 16:30 due to “Covid procedures”! Another day we had asked a girl at reception to call us a taxi, she called once, said the operator couldn’t find one and told us to call one ourselves. Then she was too busy whispering and laughing with another receptionist right in front of us, disgusting and totally unprofessional! The nicest staff was the cleaner!
