Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.
It was a great value for the price. The location can't be beat—right in Södermalm and very near the metro. The hotel retains a lot of old-world charm—which I appreciate a lot more than a sleek, modern, homogenous chain hotel.
The room was *really* small, which was fine, since it was mainly just a place for us to sleep—but it was a bit difficult for two of us to move around and sit when we wanted to stay and do a bit of work. The *main* issue I had with the room was that there was no division between the shower floor and the rest of the (TINY) bathroom floor, and the floor was not angled towards the drain, so any time we showered, water flooded the entire floor. A squeegee was provided, but it didn't entirely fix the problem (especially since one cannot really squeegee and bathe at the same time).
Breakfast was included, which was nice, though I witnessed a staff member angrily verbally assaulting a kitchen worker for something minor, like not putting out enough bread or something. That was unpleasant. I hate to see any workers being mistreated. Of course, it's possible the worker was not doing a good job, but aggressively yelling at them is never a professional way of handling that.
Overall, it was a satisfactory and convenient place to stay. Nothing fancy—but we didn't want fancy.
