We will not be returning
The hearing system was poor. When we arrived our room temp was 58 degrees and we were unable to get the room warmer than 65 the first night. Temperature control was better the second night. The shower water was warm but not hot.
There was nowhere to get a cup of coffee before 8:00AM. Food choices were limited to one restaurant, ACE, and the food there was barely edible.

2/10 Poor

Worst stay ever.
We had Tom come her for a cheer competiton. The room we booked was apparently unavailable so we got “upgraded” to an “apartment”, that smelled like Top Raman and walls were disgusting, not to mention piss all over the bathroom. They had room service clean it yet had I could move I wove have. The carpets are stained. The restraints are shut down. The bars have radically no liquor you want. Even bartenders were apologizing. I would never stay here again in my life. Thank god this completion is over. The sad part is I’m the last one to complain in my family about anything yet this really upset me.

Great place to stay
The only issue we had on the 24th floor; was the ice machine was out of service.

Not what we expected
The hotel was a bit outdated. Things in the rooms where broken and missing. The original room we rented smelled like cigarettes. Luckily I told the front desk and they moved us to a different room. The beds where uncomfortable and really low to the floor and they didn't have enough pillows or plankets in the room to feel warm or comfortable. I was really disappointed with the quality of the hotel room and the hotel in general. I definitely will not be staying at the hotel again.

Upon arrival when asking the front desk about areas to warm food. They said they did not know of any. No microwave, no ice in ice machines on floor. 2 towels in a room for family of 5. House keeping a hard time to request more towels. The restaurant ran out of condiments and paperware for food on a Saturday. Water park was ok. Food concessions had 1 worker on a Saturday.

Showboat is past its prime.
The hotel is completely run down --- and smells horrendous everywhere from the rooms to the hallways. In a pinch for a cheap stay it works but don't expect any luxuries like bath or hand soap in the room. In the 24 hours we were there it also didn't appear that any of the restaurants were open.
