We loved our time in Bergamo. The location of this B&B is perfect for access to the Citta Alta since it's right in the heart of the old town.
But what we loved the most, much to our surpise, were the owner, Claudia, and Paula. Claudia is one of the most gentle, sweet, caring, and lovely people we have ever met. And Paula in her slightly saucier and funny way was just as enjoyable and kind. Without any prompting, Paula remade our cappuccinos because she saw they had been sitting for 15 minutes, just to make sure we had fresh ones. And even though we hadn't paid for breakfast, Claudia told us we could join in for free. Of course I couldn't stand for that, but how incredibly generous and kind! I could go on and on. And then her and her husband (another lovely human!) have the most precious border collie in the world....Angie!!! My wife and I still playfully yell out, "Angie!," from time to time to remember everything wonderful about our magical stay in Bergamo, so much of which we attribute to the glorious people running B&B San Lorenzo. We'd so very much love to go back.
