There were two points in the front desk’s service that left me highly dissatisfied this time.
I made a reservation on behalf of a couple of friends as a gift for their one-night stay. First, despite having the reservation under my name as the representative, the staff tried to make the staying couple register as members and pay for the stay. Even though I clearly explained at the time of booking that it was a proxy reservation, it seems this was not properly confirmed, which I find to be a serious issue.
Second, even though I entered the guests’ names correctly, the staff claimed that the names in the reservation were different (due to a misreading by the staff), which made me very anxious. It wasn’t until I showed both the passport and the reservation confirmation email that the staff realized their mistake.
Even when I expressed my dissatisfaction, there was no sincere response, and it was explained as a difference in the systems between Japan and Korea. Additionally, I felt that the Korean staff’s proficiency in both Japanese and English was not at a business level. I was quite disappointed, especially as I had specifically chosen a Japanese-affiliated hotel but was met with this kind of response.
I hope the staff’s service can be improved.
