Come for the views, stay for the breakfast
Family of 4, vacation stay for 1 night. Beautiful view of Lake Superior. Onsite access to a lakeside trail for our runners. Beds are comfy and room is spacious. HVAC unit fan allows good white noise to drown out highway noise. The breakfast was great! If we stayed again we would try eating dinner at The Landing vs going to a family restaurant down the road that had slow service and mediocre food.

Pillows worst I’ve ever used
A little dated and no lake view made room price excessive and the pillows on the bed were so small there were four and collectively they didn’t add up to the cushion of one - I’ve never had a problem with hotel pillows in my life but honestly had trouble sleeping they were so cheap and small . Otherwise very nice staff and location :) but bring your own pillow

Last minute stay
This is a very neat place to look around at the old fixtures and out the back is Lake Superior. Out front you are right on the highway 2. This was a last minute trip for us and we did not have any other options. It was expensive, but you take what you can find. The breakfast was a little better than most.

Older building with small room. The sink/vanity area very small. Overpriced, but convenient to get to the Apostle Islands.

Nice but needed more outlets
The room was small but still roomy, perfect for us. It needs more outlets. We have two phones and a cpap machine, and there was only 1 outlet on one side of the bed.

Old hotel that has been branded as a Best Western. Our first room assigned smelled of mildew so we asked for another room and were given it. It also smelled of mildew but wasn't as bad so we decided we would stick it out. I think it was just a result of stagnant air in an old hotel. Would stay at another hotel in town next time.

We love staying here. If you happen to get a lake view room, it’s beautiful to see the sunrise on Lake superior in the morning. Good breakfast, helpful staff and a walkable path along the marina and tunnel down into Main Street. Highly recommend black cat coffee.
