Our stay at Hotel Old Quarter made our trip great!

Wow! Hotel Old Quarter was amazing! The photos are accurate, the room was small but expected and the view of the canal from the room was brilliant! The heaters worked so well, very cosy. We often had a drink or two downstairs, which Nathan and Anna made fun and enjoyable! We could walk to everywhere, great location! Oh and they have a cat - so got my cat fix :)

Perfekt for friends weekend trip

Location was perfect, just at the edge and the beginning of red light district at the same time which means close to everything but still gave of feeling of having a hint of distance to the busiest areas. It did definitely help that we booked room with canal view, as there was close to no noise as the water created a healthy distance to people on the street. 5-8 min walk from Ams Centraal Station, amazing view, beds were comfortable and the overall cleaning was nice. Friendly staff. Did not try the breakfast but did say hello to the hotel cat enjoying the attention of visitors in the bar.

We were given a room on the 4th floor up a narrow spiral staircase. The bathroom was one scary flight down from our room. I don’t know what we would have done if there had been a fire. It was handy to the central down town.

Good budget hotel, close to the Central Station

First off, let me say that the staff and Mickey are excellent. They are great. Everyone was extremely friendly and great to talk to. Donna was great and offered various suggestions for our stay. Keep in mind the rooms are very small and minimal. If you are ok with that then this is your place. Place was clean but rustic and old. Good beer selection at the bar and decent snacks to spend some time after venturing out in the city. Only complain was the harsh smell of being next to the red light district so you get all the smells and smoke that come with that.
