"The location was excellent which includes walkable to HEB and Main Street. Check-in was easy as the receptionist stayed past 9 due to traffic issues. The room itself was more nostalgic but well maintained. Amenities included dish soap for the sink paper towels coffee pot with and a bar of soap for the bathroom, I did not see shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The suites were quiet, and many dog stations throughout the property. I downgraded because 1) no one was available at checkout to inform of the running toilet and hot water temp was scalding. There was about 1 mm between cold vs burning in the shower. 2) 4 living roaches in 3 days is high if the property is actively managing."

"We loved our stay at Walden Retreats. Becky checked us in and was so welcoming and informative of our tent and things to do while we were there. I was worried that the tent would be warm in the first of August, but we kept the shades down during the day and the fans on. My husband and I actually woke up cold in the morning, so we were just fine. I couldn't believe how clean the tent itself was. They had special touches like robes, luxury bath towels, and fantastic smelling shampoo and conditioner. We enjoyed making smores by the fire and sleeping in the next morning. My husband told me before we left that he wants to come when it gets a little colder to be there during a different season."
