My family of four had a little weekend getaway and I’m glad we chose The Cedars Ranch. I had never heard of it but stumbled across it on Hotels.com when looking for somewhere to stay. Wimberley is a cute little town and only 7 miles away which was great for going to get a little bit of groceries and eating out at Wimberley Cafe. We plan on returning to The Cedars Ranch soon my whole family loved it!

The Cedars Ranch was beautiful. We love the property and its amenities. We stayed in one of their Geodomes, which was should a unique stay. Beautifully decorated and fully equipated with everything we needed for our stay. The pool/common area was great. Relaxed by the pool and used their gas grill to make dinner. Even went for our morning jog on the property road. Check in & out were easy. Met a couple of the staff members, very nice.

This place is absolutely perfect! Squeaky clean, quiet, safe. Beautiful bathroom and kitchen and awesome wifi, but, once you open the door feels like camping. Quiet, only the birds are singing in the trees. Smell of cedars in the air is amazing!

It was very clean just like the pictures we had a great time. We gave it a 4 because they did not mention the globes have absolutely no sound barrier. I was able to have a conversation with him outside on the road and me inside. I wish that was disclosed.

Glamping at its finest!
We absolutely loved our stay! We stayed in an Eco Yurt. I was afraid it was going to be small and look nothing like the pictures, but I was wrong. It was actually very spacious. It was designed very cute and it was clean. It looked exactly like it did in the pictures. I would have liked if there was a way to cook, instead of going to the bbq pit at the pool. I also would have liked if there was a tv, but we used a laptop so it wasn’t a big deal. The pool was super nice and had a lot of seating area. We played pickleball on the pickleball courts and that was a lot of fun. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We are already planning on going back to take our kids. I cannot recommend this place enough!

This place was absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately our bedrooms had bugs, the first night we found ants in our bed. My sibling said his room had bugs crawling around as well. I understand this was in the country so we didn’t let it bother us. The floor was filthy when we arrived the first day, like turn your feet black type of filth. There was dirty dishes on the shelf, I went to grab a wine glass and there was fingers prints and dried food. Despite all of this, this place is seriously breathtaking. We didn’t let any of this bother us. I’m sure it was just a case of bad luck with the cleaning crew. Despite all of this we would definitely visit again.

Mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings about this place. There is NO staff on site. The only way to communicate is through email or text. We arrived late at night. Everything looked great, so we unpacked and went to bed. That’s when it got bad - the sheets were dirty with dog and human hair. There was nobody to contact. I kept getting the “it’s after hours” message. Luckily we had towels with us to use. When I woke up the next day there was a text message from 1am saying they could move us to a different unit. That was too late! Anyway, they took care of us the next day. Since there is no personnel on site, other guests behave badly. Like letting their 3 large dogs have full run of the pool and pool area. Yes, the dogs were swimming in the pool and the owners didn’t see a problem it even when other guests were obviously not comfortable. The place has tons of potential, is clean and new. It’s furnished with IKEA so who knows how long that will last. Landscaping could use some help.
