Basic hotel room, but was clean. Older furnishings looking a little worn out. Biggest complaint is that window would not close entirely and there was a lot of street noise until very late due to location. People outside pushing drugs or something after dark. Unique entrance up a spiral staircase which was okay for my family but could be challenging for someone with mobility issues or someone carrying suitcases any larger than carry on size. Breakfast was included and was very good.

The hotel is directly across from Amsterdam Centraal Station. We had a lovely room overlooking the front of the hotel with a nice view. It was large with a queen bed, two easy chairs with a table, closet bureau and desk area. The room furniture was older and somewhat worn but still fully functional. A large bathroom included a tub shower combo. Breakfast was included in the stay and was an excellent combination of English and European foods. There was no safe in the room and the plug ins were near the baseboards.

Very close to Amsterdam central which is a major plus. Took train from airport which was very convenient. Staff were very informative and helpful. Canal cruise highly recommended by staff was very good. Only negative is due to location can be very noisy into the early hours of morning. Breakfast was very good.

It is an old building, but at an ideal location. It's about 3 minute walk from central station. Luggage store was very small. Breakfast was tasty but with very few choices and diner was very small also. Overall staff was very friendly and helpful in the reception, but a guy at breakfast was super rude and grumpy. Room was quite average... no AC or hair drier. And cealing was moving every time someone walked upstairs.

Poor cleaning
This hotel has a wonderful lication but unfortunately the cleaning is not the best. We couldnt yse the bathtub without been concern about fungus all around the tub. There is not so much lights in the room and the access is terrible with so many heavy doors around.

Great hotel in a great location.
Our stay here was perfect. Several reviews mentioned it was loud, and yeah it was, but it's also on a very busy street in the Red Light. It was great for Pride and hitting up the local bars. The rooms are dated and showing age, but the room was very clean and comfortable. This was the largest room I've stayed in while visiting Amsterdam. Large bathroom too. I will definitely stay here again.
