Ideal for just a one night stopover to catch a flight. Real close to Paddington Station and plenty of food options.
Rooms are small but comforable bed. The stairs are a bit of an exercise for older people as there is no lift.
Not expensive so you get what you pay for.

A bit tired
The staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel itself was extremely basic. The bathrooms were minuscule and the rooms not particularly well cared for.

The TV remote didn't work. I managed to work out how to operate it from the buttons at the rear of the TV. Maybe some instructions on using the remote if it was me just not understanding it, or maybe fix the remote.
Shower was not cold but not warm enough to submerse myself. Hotel location unfortunate because it's on the corner of a turn-off from Sussex gardens used by buses and other vehicles. Quite a lot of noisy people outside in the early hours too.

The room constantly smelled of cigarettes as I was on the ground floor and people were constantly standing in the doorway smoking.
My bed was missing a large panel in the middle meaning the mattress sank in when laid on. My back was very sore when I woke up the next morning.
Staff on reception were fine and hotel was well placed for the train station and Hyde Park but there are literally hundreds of better options in the city.

Less than budget
When we visit London we only really use our hotel for somewhere to sleep at night. That was almost impossible to do in this stamp sized room with a bed that creaked under any movement, and a window that opened onto an enclosed space surrounded by windows of rooms with people talking loudly long after midnight.
Add to this the lack of drawers or wardrobe space for clothes, the inaccessible plug sockets (2 behind the TV), and the absence of a plug for the sink in the cramped shower room, then you have a room below what's expected on an economy budget.

I arrived at night just after 22:00 and no one could be found. I kept ringing the bell, I called the number offline and left messages saying I was outside waiting to check in but the calls were never answered. I went to the hotel next door where I had stayed before and asked if they knew where they were, but was told loads of people come here asking but they are always disappearing. There was someone else also waiting to check in stood outside with me. I had previously answered an email asking what time I was going to be there but they just seem to ignore it eventually someone gave me a different number to call and they answered that one then came and let me in about 22:25. Not a good experience.

The staff were wonderful, but the property itself is very outdated and not well-maintained. The entire room felt unclean.

Very underwhelming property. I didn’t expect much given the budget hotel price however having what can only be described as a plastic porter loo/shower for a bathroom wasn’t expected nor on any pictures I seen. The bedroom curtains didn’t reach the bottom of the window to block out morning sun and the bed was barely a double, 1.5 at best. To top it off it was great to supply milk and tea bags in the room but how can you make a cup of tea without a kettle? This is fine if you don’t mind where you stay and want a bed for the night but don’t expect much bang for your buck.

Good service & location, but poor room
The location is good and the staff were helpful. The room was cheap and it was advertised as basic, so whether it is worthwhile would be a personal choice. For me, the room was tiny and there was no place to hang a towel or clothes. Everything had to go on the tiny bit of floor space. The hotel should at least add some wall hooks. The shared bathroom was declared, but the fact that it was on a different floor and that the stairs to it were very steep, was not. I regretted staying there and would pay more to go elsewhere next time.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming to guests. The area and location of hotel is perfectly situated near Paddington station. However, the hotels rooms are very small and the bathroom is shockingly very small. There is no lift at the property and me and my daughter's room was at the very top of the property which caused problems having to carry our luggage up and down over 50 stairs. The hotel is clean enough although a tad dated.

Comfortable stay
Fairly typical hotel of its type. Friendly check-in. Room was clean and had tea/coffe making facilities. They look after your bag if you have a late departure. This is a big plus as the left luggage price at Paddington Station is outrageous.
The soundproofing was poor as noise from room above was very obvious.
All in all fine for a short stay.

My advice would be to make sure you dont stay in room 14. Not a problem that it is tiny but it has no windows or ventilation except the rack under the door. Hot as hell, worst nights' sleep.

There was loud music playing and we could smell cigarette smoke. The room was old fashioned and not like the photos. We decided to leave and didn’t stay the night due to the noise, smell and condition of the room.
