Perfect place from which to explore Puebla
We stayed 2 nights in Puebla at the Casa Azulai and found it to be well beyond our expectations. The building is beautifully designed around an old Spanish era premises with the internal courtyard just perfect for relaxing with coffee before the day began or with a drink in the early evening. Our room was large and very comfortable. The location was perfect for us to explore Puebla - easy walking distance to all the central historic area - especially the amazing ceramic workshops and nearby markets. The staff were very helpful and we felt very looked after. We hope to return again.

I never write reviews but this little hotel was such nice surprise. People were amazing, very knowledgeable, very helpful with directions and information about the area and if they were not sure they were very eager to find out more information for me, very sweet and very nice people. My room was very clean and very nice. The hotel is close to the center of town so it was very easy to walk every where but at the same time it was quiet and relaxing. I am already planning my next trip to Puebla and Casa Azulai.

Overall, my experience here was good. Therefore, I would stay here again. The property was clean and comfortable. There is an elevator so accessible to people across floors. If you like to get your steps in there are also stairs. I will say that the problems I encountered included the fact that the shower was accumplating too much water on the floor (taking a very long time to go though) and that the main doors to get into the hotel closed early so you will have to knock to be let in after night hours. Other than that there is a convenience store not to far and you are located near the artesanías, so its walkable.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Casa Azulai hotel, in Puebla, and it was an incredible surprise! The hotel is brand new, tastefully decorated, well located - we walked to Zócalo every day, friendly staff and delicious food! Ah, the drinks prepared by bartender José are original and spectacular! The best we've had in Mexico! Don't forget to go to the hotel bar and try the Mexican Mule and a Spicy Carajillo, José prepares them all with great care. We had an excellent stay!

Beautiful but weird noises at night
Beautiful colonial hotel with modern rooms. All the people working there were helpful and friendly. But we had difficulty sleeping at night. Our room had an intermittent electrical buzz sound coming from the air conditioner at night—whether it was on or off. When we reported it to the front desk, we were told that all the rooms had this problem. Check to see if this problem is fixed before booking a room here.
