Exceptional
Manteo is a beautiful, clean and quiet hotel. There was alttle thumping in the room above. Heavy walkers. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The bed was amazing as well as the view. Okanagan Lake is beautiful. Our room was the lakeside king. Will definitely go back after covid, although it may be noisier then. All in all it was a wonderful weekend away to celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary.

Everything about our stay was lovely. The staff were polite and helpful. Because it was our 66th anniversary, our room was up-graded to a lovely room with a great view of Okanagan Lake and the mountains. Our special dinner was well prepared and presented, besides tasting great. We will definitely go back to the Manteo and Eldorado Resort.

COVID escape!!
I stayed at the Eldorado Hotel resort, it was a wonderful experience, once I got passed the check in. I had booked the Eldorado on line, on check in - there was no check in at the hotel you had to walk around to a sister hotel (a bit of a walk on a late afternoon) Manteo - saw nothing of this hotel on the Eldorado web site, and my room was in the Manteo overlooking the parking lot?? zero cooperation from the reception, when I explained I had booked the Eldorado, because of its history, character, amenities and lake side. Just told they are all one and this is where my room is. The Manteo hotel is nothing like the Eldorado, it has no character and is loud and brash. I tried discussing this with the receptionist but got no where, extremely upset. My husband came back to the receptionists and after a half hour discussing the situation, and why I had chosen the Eldorado and knew nothing of the Manteo, we were given a room in the Eldorado, why this could not have been done in the first place??? It was an unpleasant experience on our arrival. After that it did improve - staff at the Eldorado were extremely friendly and helpful, room was excellent and close to all amenities - restaurants and pub were excellent .
