For a 2-star property, I give B&B Hotel Verdun 5 stars. It is a basic hotel, but a good stop for seeing the area, the battlefields and forts. The staff is very nice.
FYI, there are stairs, no elevator.
The rooms are not large, but they work for a 1-night stay.
Breakfast was pastries, granola, yogurt, beans, mushrooms, toast. Juice, coffee, etc. Definitely good for a quick breakfast.
This hotel is outside of the city center, but it does have several restaurants in walking distance. We walked right next door to the Buffalo Grill for dinner, and were very pleasantly surprised. We are Americans, and it was our first time eating "American food"in Europe. It gave us a good laugh, we had a great dinner, and it was nice to have this option so close to the hotel.
