Hotel was okay. Could use some updates in bathrooms. The mini fridge never got cold. Breakfast was below mediocre and did not continue to eat. Otherwise not bad for the price for a quick stay

Average for the money!
They stay was wonderful and the staff was great at all my requests except for the extra pullows. However, as i was in my 4oom to drink the coffee the machine didnt work and there was still a used pod in the machine. The bed was nice but the tub in the bathroom was dirty and the sink clogged up so i could barely use it.

The staff were kind, the carpet needs to be changed, the couches had stained, elevator needs to be fixed, the room smelled like smoke and every morning the hallways around 8am to 9am smelled like pot.

Its cheap and in a safe neighborhood. Unfortunately the hotel needs a new carpet, rooms renovated, HVAC needs to be fixed, elevator needs to be fixed and people not smoking near the rooms. I could smell weed inside my room all night.

Unsatisfactory Stay
The hotel was not the most up-to-date. The elevator had issues and the hallways were absolutely freezing as if the air conditioning were on. The bathroom only had cold air blowing out of the vent, and if you put the heat on in the room, no matter the setting, it became a sauna within a matter of minutes. There was no way you could sleep with it on so you had to turn it off and you woke up in the middle of the night absolutely freezing. There were no directions on how to operate the safe and the coffee was terrible. There was one small waste basket in the bathroom, which we had to empty ourselves twice. There needs to be more waste baskets throughout the room. Since room service is not done unless you ask for it, we were constantly looking for someone to give us towels because we were only given two towels and two washcloths and we were going to be there for three nights. I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances to anyone.

Not what I expected. The hotel was not in good condition. I had to change rooms two times. The lamp was broken and exposed in one room, the air didn’t work in the other room, I finally got a room that was decent. The elevator was sketchy. The rooms smelt terrible. TV had basic cable/sports channels, not a variety to watch. Would not recommend.

Checking in, there was a screaming child with the check in Clerk, whom didn’t want to give me a receipt for a hundred deposit that I didn’t know I had to give them on top of the payment for the room, once I got to the room, the toilet handle was completely broke, I informed the receptionist whom took forever to check the room before she gave me another room, smelled horrible of Marijuna. I would Never go there again

Avoid if possible.
I was in a room at the end of the hallway and someone kept going in and out the door to a balcony? I think they were going to smoke. The door would SLAM everytime they went in and out and it would scare me awake. One time they got locked out I guess and started beating on the door to be let in. The smell of weed smoke and cigarettes was entering the room from outside. The bed was hard and springy. There was no vent fan in the bathroom. Bath faucet had a constant drip leak. Over was just a stressful experience.

Never again.
Upon arrival, the desk clerk was less than friendly. She had an infant behind the counter who was crying. We booked 2 double rooms but ended up getting 2 king rooms with a pullout sofa For 6 of us! The clerk said that there was nothing she could do. Diue to us being in town for a concert we just sucked up and dealt with the inconvenience. The hotel smelled of cigarette and marijuana smoke. The other guest across from our room must of been having a party all night. We complained but nothing was done. We didn’t get any sleep because of this. Not to mention the mold in the shower and the beds being hard as a rock. This place is nothing but a cheap hotel disguised as a holiday inn express. 10/10 do not recommend to anyone! Oh and you have to pay $100 deposit in case anything is damaged. But the criminal activity next door didn’t. Crazy.

My experience at this place was horrendous. First and foremost, I drove around for approximately 30 minutes looking for Independence Inn and could not find it. My GPS keeps taking me to Best Western. It was after midnight and I was tired so I decided to enter the Best Western building it was then I learned Western purchased it. Upon entering the room the smell of cigarette astray greeted me. I was too tired so I got in the bed. I woke up early open the blinds and to my dismay I slept in a dump. The carpet dirty, ceiling falling down and appeared to be water damaged. Paint stripping off the wall. The chair was broken, the drapes had what appeared to be dog poop or nutella rubbed on it. Believe me I've never seen a hotel room in a condition such as this. This place needs to be closed down with plenty of work done to it. With that said, the place has the potential to be good if renovation is done and old furniture replace.
