My welcome at reception was not really a welcome, no 'hello, how can I help, hope you enjoy your stay etc' I doesn't take much.
My cleanliness rating is based upon the first room that I was allocated (301) having to be changed as soon as I opened the door there was a bad smell of wet/sick carpets. This should have already been identified and the room not allocated. When I went back to reception, the response was poor, just a 'so you want a different room then?'. No apologies.
The second room was fine and clean as expected.
My eco rating is because TVs in all Holiday Inns, including this one are still left on standby. The breakfast and restaurant staff were very good.
