The building itself was incredible but the staff were dreadful, such a shame that the good hotel doesn’t have soul.

Lovely location, very small room on third floor with steep and narrow stairs that were difficult to manage with luggage. The bathroom was tiny and cramped with the towel dryer rake blocking toilet

Good location
Very nice location in the middle of the Highlands. Be aware that like most of the Highlands, there is not much in terms of places to eat. The hotel sent me an email asking if we wanted reservations for breakfast and dinner, but did not specify the hours of operation. I asked them via email, they did not respond. Like most places here, old buildings do not have elevators/lifts.

Superb Hotel in Superb Location
A stunning hotel in a stunning part of Scotland.
The room was perfect.
The restaurant and lounge area were perfect areas to recharge the soul after a long day riding. The gnocchi special is one of the best restaurant dishes I have ever had.
The breakfast was great. One small but personal niggle was the lack of haggis on the breakfast menu. That said it set me up for riding through Glencoe in the snow.
My only problem with the hotel is that the parking isn't very biker friendly. I had difficulty getting a grip with my bike boots when trying to manoeuvre the bike. I tried both parking areas and both were slippy. I could have parked on the pavement on the front but it is a main road and I didn't want my bike to be a target. The gravel may be ok on rested legs but after a long day riding it wasn't easy for me.
