Excellent place to stay
Exceptional hospitality, food, and amenities - It's a highlight of our trip. When we arrived at property, almost entire staff greeted us on the street by the entrance. Kaiseki meals were wonderful. The second floor recreation room was a happy place to be -Zen garden view, delicious snacks, drinks, and late night soup... The rooms were clean and spacious. Onsen pools were nice, especially the roof top one. We look forward to our next trip there

Old hotel but well maintained. Our room was very hot on arrival and it took several hours to cool down. Other than that, it was perfect. The dinner and breakfast sets were delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly. The public baths were nice and clean. We had in room private bath with a mountain view and it was amazing. The parks around the hotel were small but beautiful. We caught the light illumination show and it was nicely done. We skipped the dam and lake because of the rain but definitely doable. Would recommend.

Place was beautiful, room was spacious and had everything we needed. Excellent service and a huge shout out to “Ziggy” at the front desk. Upon check in we mentioned that a person in our party doesn’t eat seafood. Ziggy explained that without the advance notice, they are unable to promise that the menu could be changed. However, they were able to be change her menu for both dinner and breakfast! Thank you Ziggy!! We appreciate you!!

Got a room with its own tub and it was absolutely amazing! Watching the morning dawn snow covered scenery, as well as the sunset and night views, from the room and the tub was so relaxing! I ended up soaking every chance I could get! There was also tons of space to spread out! The staff were very welcoming and multiple staffers knew English. They were able to accommodate my food preferences as well (no raw fish). I do have to note that there isn't as much variety in the meals per day as I've had at other ryokan (I stayed for 4 days), as they follow the same pattern of course meal daily, but it was still very pleasant to eat in the individual rooms and the staff were very kind. The wifi connection was also spotty, so I used my own hotspot during my stay without issue. I also really enjoyed the morning, afternoon and evening happy hours in the lounge, with a variety of hot cocoa, beer, sake and other snacks. The area around is also quite walkable and has amazing views to sightsee and cute stores for souvenirs and to eat at. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Top tier hotel, first class service
we had an extremely warm welcoming. Tea and snacks were served. We were being showed around the room and how things work in the room. Room are well equipped, clean and tidy. And we like the in-room onsen most.

Excellent resort set in Serene and calm environment. We experienced onsen for the first time and it was great rejuvenating experience. Staff was super helpful. Only thing is they could improve on is- their food/restaurant option as it is limited. We are vegetarians and found food choice extremely limited. However the manager helped with whatever veg was option was available.

Lovely huge hotel! Very enjoyable, relaxing stay!
We stayed in the Deluxe Japanese Western Style Room with Hot Spring Bath and had a very enjoyable stay. The room was very big, clean and had everything we needed. It was nice to have our own hot spring tub in-room but next time I probably wouldn't need to book a room with private hot spring because the hotel actually has two private hotspring baths on level 6 & 7 which can be booked for free via frontdesk. The hotel itself is huge! I had fun exploring the various public bath areas and relaxation areas (and enjoying their massage chairs!) The also have a cafe which serves free drinks at certain hours. Our booking was including dinner and breakfast. The dinner was a delicious 9 course japanese dinner and breakfast was buffet style with a range of japanese food and standard yogurts, fruits etc. Staff were also friendly and kind. The hotel has a free car park directly across the road and there are various 'touristy' points of interests within walking distance including foot baths, souvenir/convenient shops. I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a great place for a weekend getaway or just somewhere to relax and chill. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A memorable experience!
From the moment we arrived it was a good warm ambience, from the reception staff to the check in staff were trying their best to make us feel welcomed. Despite limited English, they never stop trying to make us comfortable. Kudos to the staff. In fact throughout our stay there, the restaurant staff and onsen staff were equally good. The whole estate was in good clean state. Hardly any spots to nitpick on. Typical Japanese efficiency and hospitality. The dinner was especially elaborate and the staff went through the full distance in explaining each dish that was served to us. We thought it was very thoughtful being foreigners who were not so well versed with Japanese cuisine. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have some private moments in a good quality onsen and relax.

Relaxing stay, great staff/food -tourists be nice!
Booked on impulse as fitted with trip plans and attracted to relaxing time away and to the private hot spring bath in room. Very relaxing stay, lovely staff, great food. It’s not a buzzing town but a spa facility and somewhere to escape. More spa facilities than I actually used. It’s very pleasant overall and like Japan feels clean and neat, so hope any visitors respect this for others to enjoy. Somehow I ate in the restaurant with private rooms, not sure how this works, but was fine for me and the food and service top class for both breakfast and dinner. There is a shuttle bus from Sapporo Odori metro station, but you need to call the hotel in advance to arrange it, and one of the receptionists can help in English, easier for return leg.
