Beautiful hotel
Had a lovely stay as a couple at Dom Jose. The hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had a standard room which was quite small but sufficient. Breakfast was very nice. The restaurant over looks the promenade and sea which is a lovely setting to enjoy breakfast in. There is a lovely terrace where you can sit and enjoy a drink and take in the lovely views or watch the sunset. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops and just a stones throw from the beach. I would definitely return to this hotel and would highly recommend it to friends.

I didn't get the proper bed, so had to request it later. It wasn't corrected until 8 pm! I didn't get my free bottle of wine. When I did, around 7 pm, it was disgusting. I wanted to give it back and get 2 bottles of water. They would only give me 1. The restaurant/bar girls were brutal: ignored me, then rude when I approached them. There was only 1 good person here really. Plus the room wasn't cleaned properly

The staff was wonderful, as was the restaurant food and the facilities. Of all the locations at which my wife and I stayed during three weeks in Europe, the Dom Jose was the cleanest and most comfortable. Rui, who worked the front desk, was great, as were all of the staff. The only complaint was that there was no on-site parking, which meant paid parking near the beach or parking a distance from the hotel. Otherwise, we'd visit again.
