Lovely hotel but disappointed
This is a lovely hotel where we stayed regularly before covid. Throughout this stay (over Christmas) there were issues over Christmas lunch, spa bookings, meal service and account payment. All were handled clumsily at best and not what we'd expect, or experienced previously, at a hotel of this standard. Unsure if we'll return.

Return trip and as ever the staff were excellent. Special mention to Unis on reception and all the breakfast staff. The hotel is so well placed for a stay at Quinta and suites are a good standard. I arrived after traveling for over 36 hours. I wanted to shower and go to bed. Upon arrival, there was no working air conditioning in my room and I had reserved a king size bed, but only had 2 twin beds in my room. I was told that someone would come to push the beds together and fix the AC. I had to call more than 4 times before someone tried to fix the AC which was never fixed and I waited over 4 hours. I ended up moving the beds myself since no one came to help. I ordered room service, and it was terrible food. The shower in my room also was broken and sprayed water everywhere. As far as the amenities, it was rainy and cold so you couldn't use the outdoors or the pool. The area around the hotel has nothing but golf courses. The next morning when I tried to see if I could get any compensation for my awful stay, they offered me nothing. They were rude.

Absolutely lovely hotel, I found all of the staff to be very pleasant, friendly, attentive and helpful. The accommodation cannot be faulted, very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The public facilities were clean despite being high use areas. The pool area is very pleasant and relaxing as were the bars on both levels of the hotel. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening and found the food to be very good along with the service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and have in fact booked to stay again soon!

Hotel is incredible and staff and excellent and very accommodating and friendly. Lovely rooms and the beds are massive and very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and pretty much everything you need for self catering, daily housekeeping. Swimming pool is absolutely fantastic and the kids were always in it if we weren’t at the beach or elsewhere (I’d recommend sunrise rooms instead of sunset). Breakfast is on another level, we assumed we were just getting continental but you get everything, the spreads are unreal and there isn’t anything they haven’t thought about you could have for breakfast. Restaurant food there is really good but quite expensive, there are loads of restaurants that you could go around and visit or just get stuff in or takeaway. We also found the Uber service over there excellent, got a taxi in minutes from pretty much anywhere so no need for car unless you want or to further a field. Uber was half the price of a transfer booked with the hotel, yes it’s less luxury and you get what you pay for but it’s only 15mins up the road. Overall was it value for money? yes, in terms of the location, facilities and excellent service and hotel is at a very high standard. Would highly recommend. We’re hoping to go back!
