The location is right in the middle of the vibrant Montmartre district, walking distance to the metro station. Yet the hotel is amazingly quiet, being off the busiest street. Wonderful shops and restaurants around the block as well as famous landmarks. The hotel room is small but has everything you’d need. The bed is comfortable, although the pillows could be better. The shower is powerful and the bathroom has a window.
The only thing that made me a bit queasy is the decor in the room, it’s all about this writer, the namesake of the hotel, Marcel Ayme, whose portraits stare at you when you’re confined in this tiny room! Oh my, I had to get used to it. It surely feels a bit creepy.
