Great location for visiting Vanderbilt
Our family of 4 adults + a baby stayed at this Sonder while visiting an ailing relative at Vanderbilt hospital. For those purposes, this location was excellent, a quick 10 min walk that allowed for easy back-and-forth visiting around the baby’s schedule. Enough eateries around the area that we didn’t have to travel far for coffee and food over our 4 day stay. The apartment (2 room w/ balcony) was spacious and good for two couples with separate bathrooms and roomy closets. No dressers in either room. There was also a washer/dryer in the unit. Kitchen is very bare bones so don’t plan on any fancy cooking. The two bathrooms only have showers, no tubs. When I booked via hotels.com, it said it included a crib. I subsequently found out via Sonder that the crib (really a pack and play) is based on availability so ping them after you make a reservation to double check. No sheets for crib were provided. The Roku tv is also barebones, esp if you don’t have a Roku account. The cleaning crew on site was very friendly and the property was clean and decently stocked. The building in general is a bit run down and you can expect to hear your neighbors, esp above you. Lobby Lockers for luggage storage seemed to fill quickly so I wouldn’t count on those being available. For a quick visit, esp if the purpose of your visit is visiting Vanderbilt, this is a great spot. The minor cons are worth the excellent location.

Loved the Sonder @ 21 Village
We booked 3 rooms for a trip to visit my brother in Nashville for our Christmas. I booked 1 studio and 2 one bedrooms. All 3 were clean, modern & had everything we needed to cook in. Beds were more comfortable than they looked. The tv situation is not convenient with having to download Chromcast then having to dowload whatever app you want to stream from. Honestly Samsung tv's would have solved this problem or Roku tv's. For older people who arent tech savvy they had no tv at all. There are no carts for your luggage and only one elevator that I know of. I used the stairs a lot but not everbody can do stairs. Great security in the fact that you have to have a code to even use the elevator or enter a side door & also for your room. The pool area looked great! I'll be booking this place again when I go visit my brother & when the weather is warm I'll spend some time in the pool area. Parking is not bad once you figure out where to go under to enter the parking deck beneath the building. If you book earlier rather than later the rates are super cheap. Great place to stay. It's like an apartment vs a standard hotel room....Ill always choose this over a one room hotel room. It's not letting me add photos....sorry

Nice enough
The location was great, 10 minutes from downtown Nashville by car. Easy place to catch an Uber or Lyft or public transportation. If you were parking a car, it will cost you about $25 a day so keep that in mind. The apartment was very spacious with a huge bathroom and a large kitchen. My two complaints would be the furniture was not very comfortable at all. The couch was older, and the mattress on the bed was a little too soft, needing to be replaced. Because you are on a main street, and next to Vanderbilt hospital, you can hear ambulances going by at night as well as police cars. It is very close to several restaurants and shops, so it is a very walkable, cute area. As you can see, there are some pros, and some cons. If they upgraded the couch and the mattress, I would give it five stars. The building is very secure. Sonder sent me a code for the door, the elevator, and the apartment. It does help to download the Sonder app for communication and the codes.

Not as advertised
The floor was filthy. The carpet was stained. The walls were all banged up. Hardware was falling off. The couch was old and dirty. The TV wasn’t plugged into anything definitely did not match. The photos would not recommend.

In the middle of Vanderbilt University.
The apartment is part of a large complex. Be sure to read parking and entry rules carefully: one code for elevator and another for room. The elevator is very frustrating. When you arrive at your floor, the door frequently fails to open. The it will move on. You have to re-enter elevator code if door doesn’t open. Even permanent residents are frustrated. Overall though, the beds were comfortable and the apartment was spacious. The neighborhood is great. Our favorite breakfast restaurant, “Biscuit Love” is a block away. No local TV channels available. Better have a Roku.

In need of deep cleaning and attention
We stayed in a 2br apartment that had certainly seen much better days. The kitchen was fine as it had what we needed. The living room furniture was in tired condition and uncomfortable. The primary bathroom was nice and large with plenty of towels. The true problem was the stained and filthy carpets in the primary bedroom; they were awful. The air filter in the unit was filthy and filled with dirt which traps dust, pollen, and other particles, which made the air feel stuffy and stale. The location is why we stayed there but we will not stay there again.

Excellent stay!
Wonderful place to stay, we have stayed here twice. I would recommend it to everyone. Very conveniently located near the Vanderbilt hospital. Could walk back and forth to the hospital to see family.

8/10 Very Good

The apartment itself was nice. The beds were hard. We were also next to an air vent for the building outside which caused one of the bedrooms to be noisy, but my son liked it for the white noise. I personally would not have been able to sleep in that room. I didn’t like the parking garage or the hallways. It was a hassle to bring groceries here. It would be nice if there was a cart or something to help with that process. I would like to note that I live on a small farm so going back to an apartment was an adjustment.

Great place and affordable!
We are beyond impressed with this location. We've stayed at several rentals in the Nashville area and this was by far the best one ever. The place was huge, we had a full 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment with a living room and large kitchen, and a balcony. High quality washer and dryer as well. We had 4 of us, but easily could have put 2 more on the pull out couch. Parking was right at the bottom of the elevator. Very safe neighborhood near Belmont University. The Sonder app is so easy to use and all info we needed was at our fingertips. I've had bad experiences of not being able to reach anyone when I had an issue, but Sonder has a chat feature and someone will get right back to you. 10/10!

Great stay!
It was wonderful once we figured out the way things worked. Folks via chat, phone and in person were excellent for helping us navigate confirming our identities, checking in, getting the TV to work since we’re not used to streaming. Only improvements would be to the bathroom: we needed washcloths, more hooks or racks to hang towels on and a place in the shower for soap and shampoo. Location was perfect for visiting our granddaughter at Vanderbilt.

6/10 Good

The Sonder was very close to where I needed to go, Vanderbilt Medical Center. Good location. Room was very clean. All the codes needed and getting them to work was not good as the instructions weren't quite clear, such as using the palm part. Also, once I parked, a sign read "you must have a parking ticket to gain pedestrian access back into building." After 25 minutes, I finally had someone wait inside the door when I went out to see if I could get back in, which I could. Maybe it meant after 11 pm? Have no idea. Several people tried to help me get elevator code work as I rode up and down. Finally, it worked.Again, I appreciate the location and cleanliness, but this will be my last time trying the Sonder.
