We chose Grand Lake Lodge for its beautiful location. The half-cabin is small. The shower is very small. We didn't expect to spend a lot of time in the room so it was not a big issue for us given the reasonable price and the excellent amenities in common areas. We greatly enjoyed the deck by the fire with the beautiful view. We would stay here again.

Small out of date rooms. The location and views are outstanding. The town of Grand lake is lovely. Great pool. Nice restaurant. This place is overpriced for what you get in the area. I’d rent a cabin if you come to this area.

Parking at the cabin is at best awkward. Ill defined about who parks where. Parking spaces are too tight for modern SUV. Literally causes friction between guests Refrigerator in B10 is so close to the bed, the door cannot be opened wide enough to use the refrigeretor. Queen size beds were invented post cabin construction. Too tight for current human size. For these reasons, we will not be using GLL again.

We were hiking a section of the CDT and came off early. We asked to drop our backpacks off before hiking 6 miles to retrieve our car at a trailhead. We were told we couldn't leave them because of liability issues. Finally talked them into being able to leave them outside the cabin we would have for the night. Have never had the experience of not being able to store bags for a couple hours at a lodge or hotel.
