2/10 Poor

Visibly dirty and not a four-star
At check-in the staff notified us the AC was down and would not be fixed for at least two days, but there were windows and balcony door that opened so given it is winter I thought it'd be fine. When we reached the room the sofa looked like a vacuum bag exploded with lint and giant dust bunnies stuck to the fabric. Called housekeeping to re-vacuum and she had to use a sticky roller to get it off. What was underneath was a stained sofa with cigarette burns that was so disgusting my 15-year-old son would not even sit on it, let alone sleep on the pullout bed underneath. Called housekeeping again for a king-sized flat sheet so I could "wrap" the sofa so we could sit on it. When the sheet arrived it was wet as though it hadn't been in the dryer yet. Tried to call the front desk but the AI phone system kept sending me to the Wyndham reservations rather than the front desk in the building. So I walked the wet sheet down to the front desk and the customer service person offered me to look at another room to see if it was clean. It was not and had a sofa with dried up white, crunchy stuff on it in addition to years-old stains. Went back to the front desk and she offered to look at a third room--same situation with the sofa. We promptly checked out and went to another nearby hotel. This is no where near a four-star hotel and is more like an hourly motel. Refund is currently processing...
