I do not recommend unless you’re on a budget. I waited 45 minus in the hot humid lobby for my room to be ready. Check-in was crowded and a big mess. There’s only one pool and not nearly enough pool chairs. There’s not enough seating in general. There’s only two bars and there was always a long line. Worst, you had to carry around a hotel cup in order to get drinks. If you didn’t have it, they wouldn’t serve you. There was not enough access to drinking water unless you waited in the bar line or brought down the bottles from your room. The buffet was pretty much the same everyday. It was not appetizing. Some of the items seemed like frozen food meals, and they always ran out of soft drinks and ice. No one wants to drink warm water especially in a room with no air-conditioner. Always a line at the elevators. I will say that the staff was nice, especially Fidel our bartender. He was so patient. My room was great. It was spacious and looked modern. However, the rest of my family slept in outdated humid rooms even though they paid the same as I did. The beach is beautiful, so visit Mazatlán but stay somewhere else.

I don’t write reviews. And this is my first all inclusive, but I was with my sister who is more than well travelled and had just arrived from Asia. If possible, pay the extra money and stay at Riu. I stayed here because I met my family from Mexico and this was more in their price range. Umm not cheap btw. $1400 3 nights. Sub par food, bare minimum on everything. They act like I’m gonna steal their towels or cups. They give you a 10 oz reusable cup in your room that you take down and have to keep reusing all days for the drinks. Gross. Everyone buys thermos on the beach for like $12. Stupid. You have to reserve seating on beach at 7am or your SOL. Bring a pop up cabana if possible. Only one pool. EVERYONE is there. My sis says beach should have water refill stations, and more shaded cabanas. Same with pool. Our room was humid, bathroom is clean, but looks dingy. We did get ocean view as promised but just keep track of receipts. My Expedia app says I paid a deposit when I reserved. Both Expedia and hotel said I didn’t when I arrived to hotel. I checked my cc transactions and have many Expedia transactions for my 3 week trip all over Mexico. I’m weary I got conned out of $450. My sister had a room on 7th floor. No humidity, way better look, toilet paper folded in origami. She paid same price per person. I won’t be going back. I’d tell my family to save a little more next time, or let’s visit a beautiful small town like I’d rather do.

The room was passable but had to ask for toilet paper and soap - the containers were tiny. The kitchen didn’t supply soap- how are you supposed to clean the dishes? The burners were rusted out. We didn’t plan to cook anyway but it was pretty beat up and poorly stocked.

Old and outdated furnishings. Room needed a good deep cleaning. City view windows were filthy. Stairwells not cleaned my entire ten days there. Safety deposit box required maintenance on my arrival and door required a striker plate and then I was locked out of my room until further repair to lockset. Response to my requests were prompt and chambermaid was very accommodating. Paid big and didn't even get breakfast included.5/10.

My room smelled very very bad, as well as the hallway. Very disappointed about the buffet. Very limited choices, and food was horrible. I expected more from an all inclusive hotel. Bad experience overall, I will never stay in that hotel .

We have been to Mazatlan 7 or 8 times and have always stayed at Oceano Palace. It is very family-oriented. The beach is lovely. It is also close to many family owned restaurants near by. You do need to enjoy Banda music if you stay here.
