Learn more about Mason
Dip your toes in the crystal-clear Llano River before catching a film at The Odeon Theatre, one of Texas' oldest continuously operating movie houses. The grand Mason County Courthouse dominates the town square with limestone dignity that seems almost excessive for such a modest population. Fort Mason Historic Site recalls frontier days when this Edwards Plateau outpost defended settlers from Comanche raids. The magnificent Seaquist House stands as testament to German settlers who built with the permanence of European castles. St. Joseph Catholic Church offers unexpected architectural splendor in this small ranching community. The library contains more books than the town has residents – a fact locals mention with quiet pride.

Inn On Barons Creek
"Very pleasant hotel near downtown for our anniversary getaway. We arrived late and Robert was very helpful in helping us find a restaurant that was open and recommending a great wine from the selection that was available right there in the hotel lobby. He even opened the wine for us, since we don't travel with a corkscrew. =] We look forward to staying here again."

Peach Tree Inn & Suites
"10/10 — A wonderful, quiet, and affordable stay I absolutely loved my stay at Peach Tree Inn & Suites. I was looking for a clean, quiet, affordable place for one night, and it exceeded my expectations. My spacious room had a comfortable king bed, sofa, dining table, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and everything I needed. The remodeled bathroom looked brand new, and everything was spotless. I especially appreciated the natural light, wood floors, thoughtful amenities, and even two wine glasses! The property has a charming, homey layout with outdoor seating. My room had its own covered carport, which was wonderful when I arrived in the rain. Check-in was easy, I felt safe, and the room was exceptionally quiet. This morning, I sat outside with my coffee, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It truly felt like a little home away from home. Breakfast is modest, but I was pleasantly surprised by the organic coffee options, organic peanut butter, and pure stevia and monk fruit sweeteners. Those thoughtful touches stood out to me. For the price, this was an incredible value. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it. Vanessa Menanteau Author of Metabolic Restoration"

"Check-in was easy, the was clean and fresh and the hotel was close to town. The only downside side was was breakfast was to end at 0930 and we go there at 0830 and all the food trays were empty. The waffle mix was empty, so we settled for an English mufffin for 30 minutes until they brought out eight sausage patties, a small bowl of Hashbrowns, and a small bowl of eggs. Don't get me wrong, everything thing else was fantastic and I would go back again."

By planning your trip during these months, you could benefit from lower prices on accommodations and enjoy a fulfilling stay without overspending.

Enabling email alerts or push notifications may keep you informed about flash sales and special last-minute promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you identify the best hotel deal. If rates drop or rooms become available, you’re more likely to see these updates first, ensuring you can book a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates might help you save on your stay at a hotel in Mason. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and, at times, greater value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we will recommend more affordable dates to enhance your chances of securing the best deal.
- Consider your location: Remaining close to major attractions or city centres may offer convenience but often comes with higher expenses. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sites you intend to visit. You might also explore independent hotels situated further out, which are usually more likely to provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
