I’ve rarely received such a genuinely friendly welcome. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. I always greatly appreciate personal service and my two hosts provided such excellent hospitality.

A perfect quiet and calm stop over.
The location was secluded and very quiet, perfect for a stop over south. The chateau is exactly what you would expect from a big french chateau, imposing and calm with a very pleasant air of faded grandeur. That is not a criticism, no it is a definite bonus. We could relax as our dog rushed around excitedly without worrying that she would be an issue. The pool was lovely and the room was comfortable and pleasant. We walked and relaxed, swam and just chilled on the terrace. We had the entire place to ourselves for the 1 night we stayed. Suited us down to the ground. We have booked the stop over for the return journey too. The guys that run the show were young and welcoming. A good venue.

A Little Gem in The Loire
A gem of a find, just off the beaten track, this chateau has been in the family for generations and is now run as a B&B in a relaxed and happy way by the great grandson, Colas. It was one of our happiest stays en-route through that region of France as we headed south. Whether young families or couples of any age, everyone felt at home in this sprawling old family chateau with its expansive lawns, swimming pool, nature walks, indoor games room, gym, lounges and the lovely terrace where dinner was served that evening (dinner must be booked in advance). This was a highlight with everyone seated at a long table to enjoy a tasty 4-course meal made from local ingredients and is a great chance to meet people and make new friends. Hats off to Colas and the chef. The breakfast, beautifully laid in the dining room, was delightful with the freshest produce. Our room was very comfortable with lovely views over the garden and the surrounding fields. We will be back when next in the area.

Relaxing stay
Faded grandeur with a very relaxed and welcoming host. Absolutely perfect for a stop off on the way south. The chateau is jaw dropping, there’s a pool and loads of space for the kids to run off a day stuck in the car.

Not every chateau is what you thought off
Very old chateau but rooms were clean and modern. No keys for the doors. We did not like this. A very poor surrounding .

A Brilliant experience.
After a slight mix up with rooms on arrival we were given the magnificent room we had actually booked with beautiful views! We had booked dinner which proved to be delicious. We shared our table with other guests (two French couples) and ended up having a very jolly evening. We slept well and joined the other guests for an excellent breakfast. A brilliant place to stay and excellent hosts. We will endeavour to return in the not too distant future most likely with our dogs as I am told they are welcome plus there are some lovely walks.

An amazing experience
An amazing experience. Beautiful chateau in a middle of the countryside. Slightly difficult to find but really worth the effort. The place is fantastic, the host the most welcoming ever. And the conserve for breakfast the best I have ever had. Highly recommend.

Amazing stay in Boisrenault!
Magical place, I'd really like to go back here, and my only regret was that I didn't stay longer! The Chateau is stunning and very original, and is still in the same family since being built. Kolas and his sister were brilliant hosts!

A fairy tale place great 4 relaxation and vacation
It felt like a fairy tale experience staying in this 18th century well built country chateau. The host Calas is the 4th generation of the family. He is warm and very helpful. He also prepared beautiful breakfast with variety of local cheeses and homemade jams. We stayed in a blue room decorated so tastefully by Calas’ grandmother. The family portraits, the tapestry covered walls, the antique furniture, the huge lawn where the chateau sit on, the swimming poor… All is well appointed for a relaxing stay. The nearby regional nature park is a great place for birding. Many interesting towns and villages are interesting to visit. We had a great time there, and thank Calas for making our vacation very pleasant!

Lovely property but in dire need of updating
Beautiful property that needs a lot of updating. The property is virtually impossible to find. The very nice and helpful owner had to come and find us in the local village and show us how to get to the chateau. Rooms are very tired and bathrooms need updating.
