Bad place bad staff
I was charged $20 for the room card when they did not inform that it cost $20 if its missing. I could not even remember they gave me 1 or 2 card but they insisted. If they have told me it cost $20 beforehand I could have not taken the second piece if I did. And I could not read Chinese words which they said it's written at the back. I find them unreasonable.

Nice hotel close to subway
Hotel is not far away from subway station. There many bus routes nearby. Eat around the hotel is nearby. The famous historical Wen Shui Yuan is nearby. You have to ask nearby residents to tell you where is the hotel because it is on a private narrow route, you can easily miss the entrance. But, it is near police station, that is very safe.

Convenient to nearby historical sites Great value
Convenient to Catholic Cathedral for the weekend, tourist attraction Wenshudian, as well as subway access to another tourist attraction DuFu (poet's place).

Bed bugs
It was a very unpleasant experience. First, the room was like a shoe box but triangular. It doesnt look like that on photos due to nice wide angle lenses they used to take these photos. It is very small, old and looked beat up, dust was on all surfaces. Bathroom was small too and I every time to turn around you hit the wall. Breakfast had mainly Chinese options. They didnt even had a real coffee, only 3-in-1 Nescafe. But the worst thing is that there are bed bugs, not only in one room. When we asked to change the room, the new room had bloody stains on the walls. Yikes. Stay away!

Good location and good price
The hotel was very well located. If you want a cheap room in a good location, this is the place.
The hotel is nothing like what it looks in picture. It was in the back side of the residential area. The staff dont speak english at all. The hotel was quite old in its condition. The lobby was empty and the room was not clean. The bathroom was clean but not the room. The room had carpet on the floor which has spots and patches showing that there has been spill and it is not clean properly. The restaurant was also average clean and if you are vegetarian there is not a lot to eat. The room was big.
When I booked the hotel I had high hopes but I was quite disappointed.

Good location, decent rooms.
Great central location close to metro (although a bit tricky to find the entrance from the street). Room was relatively clean, staff friendly and helpful although very limited English proficiency (as in most hotels in China in my experience).Tried the breakfast buffet once and was not impressed. Awful machine coffee. I'd recommend this hotel if you, like us, mainly want a centrally located hotel where you can relax after a busy day on the streets.
