Batu Bolong
Batu Bolong blends beachside bliss with bohemian energy at Bali's hippest coastal hangout. Surfers ride waves at the namesake beach while digital nomads tap away in stylish cafes. The ancient temple perched on rocky cliffs offers a cultural counterpoint to trendy beach clubs where sunset-chasers gather daily. Yoga sessions between rice paddies remind you this isn't just any beach town. Finding your perfect spot is easy with options from $3 warung meals to farm-to-table dining. Scooter rentals are the transport of choice, though the core area works for walking despite uneven paths. Accommodations range from surf hostels to luxury villas, many featuring pools and co-working spaces.

Ride the legendary waves at Echo Beach, where surfers of all levels catch breaks against a backdrop of volcanic sand. Digital nomads tap away at laptops in bamboo-built cafes serving acai bowls and flat whites with equal reverence. Rice paddies still stubbornly persist between yoga studios and beach clubs where sunset sessions blend into night with international DJs. Batu Bolong Beach offers gentler surf for beginners before rewarding efforts with beachfront tacos. The once-sleepy village now pulses with an international crowd seeking the perfect balance of wellness and nightlife. Berawa Beach's black sand provides dramatic contrast to colorful beach umbrellas, while nearby Tanah Lot temple sits majestically offshore, proving that sacred and social can coexist beautifully.

Canggu Cabana Beach Resort by Ini Vie Hospitality
"Absolutely beautiful hotel in a quiet location - but close enough to lots of great bars/restaurants and the beach. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff are absolutely exceptional and made the stay completely fabulous. The only thing to note is that there are a lot of stairs (eg. from bedroom to bathroom, but also around the complex) so it wouldn't necessarily be suitable for anyone with mobility issues."
Papillon Echo Beach
"Super friendly staff and decent pools. Great value for money"
Chesa Canggu

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Canggu
- Book for the cheapest times: For travellers seeking an affordable retreat, visiting Canggu in February, March, or November offers great value for money, with hotel prices on a budget-friendly level that may drop to lower prices. A stay of at least 4 to 5 days is recommended to explore the town's key attractions, including its renowned temples, captivating sunsets, rejuvenating spas, and cultural landmarks such as beaches, yoga retreats, and the region's historic landmarks. This period provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy the rich history and culture of Canggu while keeping expenses in check.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers enticing DealsOpens in a new window for Canggu hotels, and by checking the Last-Minute Deals section you may discover discounted stays close to your travel dates. You’re more likely to see flash sales and special offers through email alerts or push notifications. Additionally, the app’s Smart Shopping tool allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if rooms become available or prices drop, you'll be informed promptly for a potential last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates may help you save on your stay in a Canggu hotel. For those seeking unique accommodations, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the rate for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we might suggest more affordable dates, which could help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Canggu's fantastic public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well-linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
