The room was okay but bathroom small and cold due to ceiling being only plastic panel. The light above the bed flickered most of the night when raining so had to wrap my jacket around it to get sleep. Fixture was too complicated to take out light bulb. We had early departure before the breakfast was being served and were supposed to get some fruit and snacks but never happened.

This is a cozy little place, a small room with a shared bathroom. The staff was very helpful and the front desk is open 24 hours. This was an inexpensive place for us to crash for the night with a full breakfast in the morning. The woman at the desk did not speak English, so be sure to know enough Spanish to get checked in.

We enjoyed staying at the Arupo Bed&Breakfast; however, due to the neighborhood, it was rather noisy at night and early morning! Our room was further away from the street with a lovely view of an internal garden, but still it was noisy due to being near Plaza Foch which is a party/bar neighborhood. We found the staff helpful with giving us walking or public transportation directions, and they were pleasant enough as they served us our breakfast.

Mixed review. Good points great breakfast, friendly staff and clean room. Bad points hostel is in a very noisy area and opposite a bar which plays loud music every night till 02:00am. Room was much smaller than the photos and it gets very cod at night so bring extra layers. I had a shared bathroom and the toilet leaked and I only had hot water twice during 6 nights.

This a nice place to stay the staff is very helpfu
We arrive at the hotel on Thursday night we expend the following two nights; it's a bit noisy because is right in the area of plaza Foch, we left for the weekend to Galapagos Island the hotel staff was very helpful providing great information of things to do and arranged great transportation when we needed. We arrive back at the hotel Wednesday and stay there the rest of our trip coziness clean and very pleasant and helpful staff members..

Great hotel, perfect location in La Marsical
We loved the Arupo and will return to it on our next trip back to Quito. The room was spacious, the bed was super comfy and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The owner let us stay in the room until 8pm when we had to leave for the airport for a very low fee. Highly recommend this hotel for the La Marsical area.

Charming hostel in a great location
Great hostel. The room as clean and comfortable. The breakfast was different everyday (eggs, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice) and the staff was incredible. The common area is comfortable and they have beer for sale ($2). The backyard was great for morning coffee. The local area is full of restaurants and bars and close to metro bus stations. I would stay here again.

Friendly staff and clean room
Very friendly staff with very good services - they will do their best to meet your request, although there is a language barrier (they don't speak English). The room was very clean and comfortable. However, for one time the towel was not changed and toilet papers were not added.When I addressed it, the staff was apologetic and provided the new ones immediately. There are many bars and clubs in the area with loud music on till very late at night. Ear plugs needed for those who want to sleep well. Overall, the stay was good, but not sure if it was worth 80USD per night.
