Resort by name but not by nature
It's the 4th time Ive stayed their in as many years and every time has been disappointing. Such a great location .... why not renovate a room and not make it feel like your sleeping in a council flat.

The pools and surroundings are great. Short walk to the beach and a lovely tropical feel around the accommodation. You can eat at Pacific Palms Resort which is a short stroll from the rooms but no room service. The rooms are a little tired but clean enough and comfortable.

Going down hill
Check in at Charlesworth Bay Resort, part of Pacific Bay was clinical and sterile. Personal service was non existent. The presentation standard of our initial room, which I had to battle to have changed, was in a word poor. I was told that my comments would be “passed on”, I’m not holding my breath! The only redeeming feature of our stay was the central Bar and restaurant area where everything was fine especially the staff who were friendly and engaging.

Amazing water pressure worth the stay alone for that. Great location and good facilities. All the stuff you need is there the rooms and resort are in need of some tlc/ refresh but still pleasing.

A nice resort that was once Novotel, before being split up into several different entities and that's when downfall started. It still looks great from the ponds' side but not so much from the carpark side, which is mostly a muddy puddle. I am not going into detail about the poor service I got but I have photos of being allocated an apartment with a fridge which had no shelves! We stayed in that apartment for a week and still no shelves. Awesome, right? Never mind, changing rooms at 14 hours notice, at around 9pm, at night, as re-booking was done through a third party. A sad resemblance of former glory. I would not recommend this place if there were any better ones in Coffs Harbour.
