While you cannot beat the location, this hotel is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The hotel has seen better days and is in need of some TLC and not just a coat of paint. I couldn't access my floor from one of the two elevators because the button to it was missing. The bathrooms were originally nice, but wear and tear has done what it has done best--wear and tear. Carpet seemed new, though.
The staff were friendly and helpful, so no complaint there. Reception was kind of odd in being in the front window space of a cafe (?). Seemed temporary, but I'm not sure where else reception would be.
Bed was comfortable, pillows were great, and hot water worked well. Noise, especially in Leicester square, is usually a concern in other hotels. No complains here, room is quiet.
WiFi was decent and TV worked far better than most other hotels.
