Affordable option for Gothenburg in the summer which is very expensive if you stay in the centre of the city. This hotel is easily accessed on the tram line, about 15 minutes from the Centralstation and is in a quiet, mainly residential area.
The hotel is quirky with many of the rooms having windows that overlook an indoor football pitch. This might not appeal to everyone but when there is daylight for 18 hours a day in the summer, the lack of natural light through the windows can actually be a good thing!
The room was basic but comfortable with some of the best beds and pillows we experienced during our week in Sweden, so we slept well. Breakfast was good and the reception staff were excellent, letting us leave our bags in the luggage store for many hours before and after our stay.
There are a couple of dining options in the local area and we ate at the nearby Pizza/Kebab place which was pretty good for the price.
Overall a good place to stay for the price as long as you're happy to travel a short distance on the trams.
