Pictures look better than the real thing
The apartment is large, but old and very dated, furniture, bench and walls are well worn. The door had looked it had been kicked in and bad repair job, the tile grout, corners of rooms not clean. Wifi so slow - next to useless. Hotel advertises as free parking on site - there is maybe less than 6 carparks for 50 units, unless you check in about 3pm you will be parking on the street and paying the metered parking rate. Check in procedure - terrible and on top of prepaying everything they still want a security deposit of $300 each time you visit. Do not use the swimming pool - you will get some form of nasty illness. TV doesnt work, netflix wont connect using your own account. Not really walking distance to town so need to use uber or own car. Free red bus goes into town from Hay St but service stops at 6pm and I think only runs for Nov - Feb. The hotel information about local markets etc is out of date. City Farm Market is definitely not open 9am to 3pm during the week. The IGA supermarket around the corner is good / new but not cheap. The Wok and Ladle noodle place just down the road is great and the Maruzzelle Italian place around the corner is good. I enjoyed the stay in Freemantle a lot more than Perth - and I would recommend staying in Freemantle rather than Perth.

Starwest not open to let me in with no afterhours
Hi, I tried to check in on Monday evening and tried to contact the afterhours mobile number. It was turned off and I was unable to get thru to anyone via multiple calls, texts, plus contacted the landline and sent emails. No response and I was forced to seek accomodation elsewhere. It was terrible service with no follow up. I would like a full refund for the first night's stay. When I rang the afterhours number in the morning it miraculously worked so telling me there was an issue with the phone company was simply not true. The phone was simply turned off with no duty of care to any customers. Disgusting and deplorable. Then I was asked at 10am, when I had already left at 9am for business to go to the check in desk by 11.30am or they would deactivate my cards to get into the room. Ridiculously rude and aggressive behaviour. I had to give my details over the phone to avoid not being able to get into my room for a second evening. This is absolutely terrible and I will never stay here again. I would like a prompt response and refund or I wont the Hotels.com platform again either Please advise

Stayed here a few times in the past, spacious, functional accommodation. One of the lifts was stuck on the Ground Floor so if you wanted to go up to your room you had to wait for someone to come down in the other lift and the floors weren’t accessible by the staircase. The check in timeframe is very limited so be mindful of this if you are arriving late afternoon or evening as a fee will be charged. Overall it’s a good stay.

The affordability and spaciousness. The only complaint was out of the three beds,my bed was so hard it made it uncomfortable to sleep. I don’t mind a firm bed but this was unpleasant. I’m sorry for complaining as the rest of our accommodation was beautiful and I loved the view with the balcony.

Property was great, clean and well kept. The room could of done with a broom perhaps? Also could be nice to have a sign for the parking to show where to turn in (I missed it the first time I went past).
