Birmingham City Centre

Birmingham City Centre buzzes with energy, where Victorian grandeur meets sleek modern architecture. The Bullring shopping complex anchors the district with world-class retail, while cultural venues like Symphony Hall and Birmingham Museum showcase artistic treasures. Broad Street lights up with nightlife options after dark, and the historic Jewellery Quarter sparkles with artisan workshops just a short walk away. The neighborhood caters to all tastes with dining options ranging from street food to fine restaurants. Hotels span from budget-friendly chains to luxurious boutique properties in converted historic buildings. Three train stations and convenient tram stops make getting around effortless, perfect for exploring this walkable urban core.

Jewellery Quarter

Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter shines with creativity in a maze of converted Victorian workshops. Wander cobblestone streets to discover over 200 listed buildings where modern artists work alongside traditional goldsmiths. Getting around is a breeze with Birmingham Moor Street and New Street stations just a 10-minute walk away. The stunning University of Birmingham campus sits alongside elegant Victorian homes and the breathtaking Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Food options range from cozy cafes to gastropubs where you can refuel after exploring. Stay in charming converted Victorian B&Bs for that authentic local vibe. With Birmingham Five Ways and University stations nearby, getting around is simple whether you're headed downtown or just wandering tree-lined streets.

Malacuna Birmingham

Malacuna Birmingham

10/10 Excellent
"As I was on business I only spent the evenings working on my iPad in the reception area. The bed was surprisingly comfortable despite seeming softer than I normally prefer. The privacy blackout blind across my bunk worked well although on section had come off the rail. The secure storage box by the bed would have been much better if it did not make a loud noise on opening and closing. As always there were not enough pegs in the bunk are and the shellf was too small to store phones and other items on charge. I felt sorry for 2 novice young lady hostelers who were shocked to find they were sharing with men. Although I will choose female only rooms if I can get them for a small premium I think that it would be great for any women who would refuse to share a dormitory with a man. Of course I appreciate the iced water available in reception. The shared bathroom was wet by previous person and there was nothing to clean up the floor."
