A peaceful stay for nature lovers
A beautiful, quiet, environmentally respectful little haven, with superb views and lots of native wildlife. Don't expect mod-cons, but go prepared to enjoy off-grid living, in a comfortable little cabin with everything you need (kitchen, wood fire, comfy bed, spacious deck for eagle, earth and star watching). Although the checkin is contactless, the owner is in contact via email with warm, personal messages, is responsive and helpful if required. Thanks so much Peter! We loved it.

Was a lovely peaceful beautiful quiet place to stay, we were greeted by a couple of the local critters, which was lovely. Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. loved the free unique gift, is a lovely memento of our stay and travels. No negatives from me and would highly recommend staying at Lumera Eco Chalets

Lumera is a beautiful hidden oasis close to St Mary's. The dirt track and gates leading into the property give a sense of isolation and exclusivity. The view from the chalet on the first day was spectacular over the bays of the East Coast. Once the weather came in the delight of being anywhere in the world in a warm chalet, mist rolling in and the trees cloaked in grey and a wood fire added to the romance and mystery. A welcoming wallaby with a joey was happy to be hand fed. Be warned they are very fickle and will desert you for the next chalet as soon as someone else arrives.

The host, Peter, was very welcoming. It’s location and eco-environment was beyond our expectations. Only niggle was the 9.30 checkout - which we hadn’t realised until we were packing up.

Beautiful surrounds, cabin was nice. Would have been good to have some recycling options as it was marketed as an Eco Chalet.

Had a wonderful time - Would love to return
Had a wonderful time here. We stayed one night. There was an amazing balcony overlooking the valley and sea. We sat on the balcony with a bottle of red and cheeses. We then enjoyed a sky full of stars and then enjoyed the fire place. At breakfast we fed friendly wallabies. Relaxing and memorable. Would definitely love to come back.

This is an eco-friendly site, with battery backed solar panel, high filtration tank water, 4g cellular reception, the most comfortable bed away from home, and a view to die for. Truly a credit to the owners, and an experience not to be missed.

Would love to stay here again
From being greeted by the critters (several Bennetts Wallabies) to the kettle already warm and the fire pre-lit, the atmosphere was very inviting. View is spectacular and room very comfortable.

Bliss
Simple pleasures are the best. All you need to drink in the view. Wallabies and wombats. The wind in the trees. You can see forever and can travel easily around the coast yet at night you can retreat to a magical eyrie. A real gem!!

Stunning chalet with amazing view
Our stay could not have been better! Our host, Peter, is a truly kind and caring person who definitely added to our wonderful experience. With the private Balcony looking across the stunning view, we did not want to leave at the end of the week! The chalet is so well appointed with a gorgeous combustion heater making the chilly nights warm and cosy. Would highly recommend to any couples looking for a peaceful, tranquil getaway! Thank you.

Lovely quiet location with fantastic views
We booked a 3 night stay here and wished we'd booked longer. The highlights for us were the lovely location and the local wildlife. Sitting out on the private deck enjoying the views and the peace and quiet was absolutely fantastic. We were met on our arrival by some of the local wallabies who seemed very happy when we gave them some of the animal food that had been provided in the chalet! They were regular visitors for the rest of the stay, along with various other animals in the evenings. We booked meals for one evening and they were excellent. These are well worth considering as the other local catering options are very limited.

Brilliant views of the Bay of Fires
A beautiful place to stay. Extremely comfortable and fitted out with all you need. Very private, quiet and well situated. Great views with abundant wildlife and a potbelly stove that has the room toasty in minutes! The owners (Peter & Ian) passion for the environment is obvious and commendable.
