The clubs nearby party until 3 am, before which it’s impossible to sleep on the stained pillow. Bathroom had 1 cockroach. Not the most hygienic place I’ve stayed.

The hotel was really nice for the price. Although we didnt get any help to take our suitcases up to the room and it was kinda hard because there’s no elevator. We had a balcony that allowed us to have a view to the “Torre del Reloj”

I recommend to have better wifi connection.
The hotel is conveniently located, near restaurants, museums and shops. However it turns a little uncomfortable because of the noise of the music and the people partying in the plaza in front of the hotel.

8/10 Very Good

Hotel Torre del Reloj overlooks Plaza Coches and is perfectly located in the old city. 5 minute walk to Bodeguita, where boat tours depart from, 8 minutes to some very nice restaurants in Getsmani and the food truck park on the harbor. It has a fantastic roof terrace bar with great latin music videos. Several ATM's close by. Piccolo's pizza next door....if you like pizza their pizza will knock you out. A little further along in the arcade is a Colombian snack bar with cheap and very tasty empanadas. Included breakfast was standard fare, no complaints there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a shower head that was half working, told them in the morning, there was a new one installed when we came back at the end of the day. Dropped off some dirty shirts in the morning, they hanging in our room in the afternoon, and for a very reasonable price. WiFi was good, strong signal. Airco mini splits in the rooms was tip top, which you really appreciate in Cartagena's heat. The only drawback for some is that it's noisy at night. The square and surrounding streets are full of people until late at night, and some music from the roof terrace filters down to the rooms. Didn't bother me at all, but I could see that some difficult sleepers would find it a problem. All in all we had a great week there, and would recommend staying there if going to Cartagena for the first time.

Total disappointment.
We booked a week in advance for one night in order to spend New Years Eve within the walled city of Cartagena. We expected it to be noisy since the mini balcony room overlooks the clock tower and plaza de Los coches. The point of paying double for what these rooms go for was to enjoy the view and action in the plaza. We even stopped by the day before checkin to reconfirm our prepaid booking even though we had received 3 emails confirming our “guaranteed” paid booking. Two hours before check in I got a what’s app call from this hotel and they told me that there were no rooms available. We stormed over there. They offered to put us up in Boca. We didn’t leave until they found us a room. They came up with something after an hour of complaining. We had no access to the restaurant or the bar due to their New Years party. Total disappointment.

2/10 Poor

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING
This place was absolutely disgusting! The first room I got which was supposed to be their best and largest, the air conditioning didn’t work and the shower door didn’t close so the floor and toilet were soaked. Air is necessary as it is 100 degrees every day. The second room I got was smaller with two little beds that were slid together. The sheets were filthy with what looked like an ass print and all night long I was falling between the two beds. They didn’t have a fitted sheet so the bedding came apart very easily. The place has cockroaches and the WiFi didn’t work in the rooms. There was black mold in several areas in the bathroom, a used condom in garbage, the sink wouldn’t drain so I had to twist out the stopper, the outlet was melted, the faucet barely trickled water and they left me soap that was open with fuzz and hair on it. I threw it away and they took it out of the garbage and left it for me the next day. When I checked out, they wanted 150,000 pesos because my son stopped by for a couple hours. I would have left after the first night but it was non refundable. This place is filthy.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were great and very accommodating. they let us stay in the same room even though we had booked a different room (for a lower price) for the last night. They also set up a tour to Totumo volcano for us. The bar on the roof was fun and they gave us a free welcome drink. We had a nice big room with a balcony overlooking the torre de reloj. It was quite noisy at night but that is to be expected from the location. I would stay there again

Basic hotel. No hot water in standard rooms. No window in our room either. Loud, thumping music coming from somewhere until 3am. On the positive it was cheap, clean, great location and staff were very helpful

Nice hotel in the center of town and activities.
Staff was very helpful. Hotel is on a main square with lots of nightlife activities. Best for young people and those wishing to party. Still it was easy to sleep. Location good and easy to get around town. Lots of things within walking distance.

Good for the price
Honestly for the price it is very decent. You can't expect more for what you are paying. "good location" BUT in the heart of the vendors...actually the lobby entrance is thru the vendors (street food). That was not nice, not a family location hotel. Nice rooftop bar.

Good location - not so good hotel.
This hotel is located right in the center of the old town entertainment and restaurant district. The noise level at night right up to 3am is loud and the rooms are not soundproofed, so cannot get any sleep here. The standard room booked through Hotels.com is without any windows and for a room with window must pay extra. The bed and pillows are of low quality. Wifi only in common areas and not in your room!
