The previous reviewer's description of the hotel's style, layout and isolation is accurate, but I loved it.
To me, the hotel felt very familial - you wear slippers around the building, most of the lodgers dine in the restaurant, and the owners treat you as a guest in their home, rather than just a reservation number. Also, the owners have chickens and lamas that wander around the grounds outside of the hotel during the day, adding to the down-home experience.
They also have a hot tub and (I think) a sauna - though they cost extra.
If you just want to relax, meet interesting people and eat good, home-cooked food for a couple of days (or just for an evening) then this is the place to do it.
