Stayed for a week - had a bedbug issue and developed over 20 bites over the course that stay. Was told by someone who stays here once in a while that it is not an uncommon issue. After telling front desk, I was informed that the best they could do was to change my sheets, but it did not happen. The turnover rate is high and would not recommend the mixed dorm room for solo female travelers unless you are relatively comfortable with multiple male roommates. A lot of people stay for one or two nights then leave. Upon arrival, the air-conditioning was also not functioning, but they tried to fix it within a few days. Luckily it was not the peak of summer but was still quite warm and stuffy. Soundproofing is virtually non-existent: expect to be able to hear others taking calls from the next-door room. The showerhead is also a bit problematic but it's an easy fix. Bring a lock for the locker and your own towel. Overall, decent place for bare necessities of staying the night and showering. Staff did try their best to help me and were helpful and friendly. The place is quite old - operating since 1960s, so breakdowns are to be expected but I had a brief conversation with the owner who helped me resolve an issue at night, he was helpful and engaging.
Conclusion: Would not recommend except for extreme budgeting and bare necessities of a bed shower.
