Antalya old town is not the quiet and inexpensive joy that it used to be. It's still gorgeous and interesting but there are a lot of bars and restaurants trying to be fancy but mostly not worth it. Nonetheless Antalya has something for everyone.

The first impression is that it seems very noisy and hot, but then you get used to both the rhythm and the heat. I recommend visiting the waterfalls, which you can get to from the city center by public transport without any problems.

Dental/aesthetic clinics in abundance, old town was worth a visit. Traders enticing you into shops/cafes troublesome but not over the top. Saw dolphins in Antalya Bay which was special.

"Staff were fabulous: courteous, relaxed, helpful. The room was v comfortable, blackput curtains, great lighting options, coffee, bathroom. comfortable bed, quiet for sleep
Food was plentiful, huge variety. You have to be organised to book the a-la-carte options, but the one we did was great (Arkdeniz) but the buffet and other options are great too.
There are lots of activities, but we were in chill mode. "
