Friendly hotel representatives
After a long day, I could not find the parking garage. Even though it had nothing to do with this hotel, a representative stayed on the line with me and walked me through how to find it from where I was. I don’t think I’ve ever had a hotel representative go out of his or her way like this. I really appreciated it.

A hidden gem
I love this little gem I just discovered. Lots of much needed renovations happening but still a gem. I slept like a baby here. I’m staying again this coming weekend It’s a bit of a walk to the closet subway station but the neighborhood is so lovely and quaint you don’t realize it

Cheap & Clean
The Jane is under renovation so only single rooms are available. As a solo traveler, that was fine with me. The rooms are tiny, accommodating a twin bed & not much else. The bathroom is down the hall. Everything as clean & neat. It was quiet. You can’t adjust the temperature of your room. It’s winter & the heat is on. There is a fan but even with it in the room is too warm. The neighborhood seems. Overall, this is a good hotel.

Great location, poor condition
Hotel is conveniently located in West Village in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Very close to Meatpacking and the start of High Line Park. The hotel is currently (Dec 2024) undergoing renovations. Shared bathrooms and showers. There was a weird smell in the hallways. Room was tiny (5 sq m / 50 sq ft), bed was uncomfortable. You can hear someone watching TV several rooms away as the doors are old and don’t insulate against sound. I hope the hotel will feel nicer once renovated. Right now it’s not worth $200 per night.

The room was clean. They seem to be housing people who belong in a nursing home. One hallway smelled like sewage. And they share the same bathroom in the hallway. One older woman I saw in the hall look like a monster from a horror movie, it's pretty sad.
