stayed for 4 hours n checked out !!!
The first thing we noticed was the view which is lovely , then everything else goes down hill LITERALLY fast , room cleanliness is 0 , comfort 0 , safety 0 , pool 0 , pool bar ( none existent ) staff were untrained & un interested !! in all I'd rather stay in a tent in Blackpool than recommend this place to anyone & I will actively seek a refund !! Disgraceful for such a wonderful little island !!
just avoid here

Waking up to a beautiful sea view
Spend 2 nights in this lovely resort. The reception area is just splendid with a great view of the sea, but not for the unfit as there's just too much stairs to move around. Staff was very helpful althought I do have problems trying to get extra pillow during the night time as they told me I can only get it in the morning as the house keeping is not avail at night. Not too far away from the main area although a little bit of travelling to reach is a must. The resort is kinda smack in the middle of the main area on both side but will need transport to reach. Quite during the night & with a bar just opposite the resort for those who wants to grab a quick drink will be great. All in all it's good enough to make it a pleasant stay.

Great views of ocean
Lovely place with great views. Liked the villa style rooms a lot. There are a lot of stairs to climb so less mobile people may have problems though I saw villas that did not require climbing. They can pick u up and drop u off in a small van. Some good resteraunts closeby, one in particular which was deserted had great views and excellent thai food. Can't remember the name.... Something 'moon'. Shops and beach are some distance away, not easily walkable as there are no footpaths along the curved roads where people keep riding along the breakdown lane, taxi is the way to go. Overall a nice place to stay.

This resort is pure paradise
Location is between Lamai and Chaweng, ideally located, accessible by mo-ped's, the hotel staff were all very friendly and attentive to all our needs. The views from this resort were unbelievable, when we got there the hotel manager gave us a choice of two rooms, we chose the room higher up the cliff as it gave us breathtaking views of the ocean. Koh Samui for me was the highlight of my stay, when I go back to Thailand , this is the resort that I will stay at again . Thank you Samui Cliff Resort & Spa. You have won us with your hospitality and your location.

Astonishing Value and Privacy
Samui Cliff View offers cottages/villas set in a lush hillside. The rooms are stylishly equipped and have stunning views. The layout of the resort gives accommodations a feeling of exclusive privacy. The hotel seems relatively new so the facilities show none of the decay/mold that seems to be present at older resorts. While the hotel is accessed from Samui's busy main road, we didn't have the feeling of crowded over-development that we got visiting the beach hotels. We looked at the other hotels that we considered booking at and were really happy with our choice of the Cliff View after the fact.
At the base of the hillside is a manicured sandy sunbathing area, and steps lead down to the rocky water's edge where there is a sheltered swimming cove. When the sea is calm, jumping off the rocks into the warm, blue waters reminded me of a Mediterranean scene. The snorkeling here was pretty good, although the hotel masks left something to be desired. There is no beach, but what we found is that when you are on Samui's beaches you get heavily hassled by merchants and passers by, and you lose any sense of exclusivity or privacy (except at $800 night places which have private beaches). For a beach experience the hotel has a great shuttle which runs hourly that drops you off at the beach down the road. This gave us the benefits of the privacy of the Cliff View without the negatives of the beach. It occured to me that if there was a tsunami we would be above it.
The restaurant is good for breakfast, but we preferred to hop into a tuk-tuk to town for dinner.
There are 130 steps from the pool to the lobby. This is not a place for handicapped people.

Nice cliff view hotel!
After a backpacker 3 weeks vacations, it has been a maravillous way to finish our vacation. The sea view in the hot tub jacuzzi is wonderfull! Good breakfast included, and really confortable bed!! I'll go back anytime! Only thing, no beach... you see the sea put it's on a cliff so no sandy beach.

Nice Hotel
Pretty secluded. The hotel has a trolley type vehicle to help you get around the property because it has a bit of an awkward layout. But the pool is nice. There's no beach access and you have to take a cab to get to and from town. But otherwise, the service was great. Restaurant was ok.

Kein Strand. Sonst Perfekt
