Kereru Cottage with its James Cook apartment is set in a serene oasis just 5 minutes walk to the waterfront and wharf where you will find an selection of great cafes and restaurants along the waterfront serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide no meals at Kereru Cottage, however your suite has tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster, microwave, fridge plus a selection of cereals, yogurts, milk, juice & bottled water. There is no hotplate or oven. On arrival you will receive a selection of fruit. The James Cook suite is a luxury room with your bed choice of either a super comfy extra large-king size or large twin beds, with quality cotton linen. You have a private bathroom with toiletries, shower, bath, vanity, toilet, hairdryer and heated towel rail. We offer unlimited free WiFi, free on-site parking, flat screen smart TV with Satellite and Netflix channels, air conditioning and heating. Guest access is a path way through the sub tropical gardens to your private entrance and deck.

Visitors have an easy 3-5 minute walk to wonderful eateries that overlook stunning views on Russell waterfront. Excellent safe swimming is within 1 km walk. Russell is one of the oldest locations in NZ having the oldest Church & first hotel license.
