Disappointing hotel
We had paid for the whole trip duration of our stay upfront through hotels.com which have the details of my credit card. But when we checked in the hotel wanted to keep our passports - we refused this and explained that I have already paid and have my credit card details. Because of this when we were at the bar to order drinks or food - we couldn’t add the bill to our room for me to pay at check out. I argued my point with this and they said this is because I haven’t left my passport. absolute idiots!
Also the standard of the hotel is not as high up as stated on the site - there were loads of areas that were broken or outdated - broken flooring of the wood decking in pool area, missing pieces of tiles in swimming pool.
The evening entertainment on the beach front bar was the same each night and on the night we wanted to attend we were told to move ourselves from the beach sofas because they had been reserved - but no one told us that we had to reserve it despite us spending money on drinks and food there - WHICH we couldn’t put on our room bill. Crap service!
